The underlying objective of the course was to cultivate a complex structural systems, enabling participants to skillfully analyze data and translate it into a design that is responsive and adaptable.

“Everyone developed a keen ability to thoughtfully and ingeniously integrate these principles into their designs, ultimately fashioning transformative architectural narratives”

The first summer course program at the Universidad de Los Andes proved to be a transformative experience, evolving into a remarkable and triumphant explorative program that delved deep into understanding the intricate structural systems of buildings, elements, and facades, ultimately synthesizing these diverse elements into a cohesive whole. Throughout the program, various scales were meticulously examined and prototyped, ranging from miniature study models to the creation of façade prototypes, building structural systems, and a meticulously detailed study model of both the façade and the building itself.
